Sabarkantha

Sabarkantha is a district of Gujarat in the northeastern part of the state. The district head quarters are located at Himmatnagar which is 80 kms from Ahmedabad. The district is bounded by Rajasthan to the northeast, Banaskantha and Mehsana districts to the west, Gandhinagar and Kheda districts to the south and Panchmahaldistrict to the east. Sabarkantha covers an area of 7,390 sq. km with total population of 20, 83,416 according to 2001 census.
